Roasted kukicha, or bocha (tea madefrom twigs of the tea plant ), is common in Ishikawa Prefecture, with its capital, Kanazawa, said to be its birthplace.
It is most often enjoyed lightly roasted, which creates the distinctive co-existence of a floral and lightly roasty aroma.
